Liverpool fans will have woken up today in anticipatory mood after Rafa Benitez hinted that a new arrival could be confirmed today.
Speaking after the scoreless draw against Hertha Belrin on Tuesday evening, the Reds boss suggested that what would be their fifth signing of the summer is imminent.
“We're working very hard on the market and perhaps we will be able to announce something tomorrow,” Benitez said on Tuesday.
Most of the speculation has centred around Paris Saint Germain starlet David N’Gog, who has been heavily associated with Liverpool in recent days in the French press especially.
The 19-year-old striker did not feature in PSG's 2-0 friendly victory over Clermont and is moving into the final year of his contract.
Although N'Gog only managed one goal in 14, mostly substitute, appearances for the French capital club last season, he is considered as one for the future and reportedly is very highly regarded by Liverpool scout Laurent Viaud.

Shouldn't Benitez be concentrating on buying someone who can guarantee 20+ goals a season like a seasoned pro like Robbie Keane?
