Mathieu Flamini will make his debut for Milan this evening in a friendly against Cremonese.
Flamini joined the Rossoneri on a free transfer this summer after his contract at Arsenal expired. Many people believe that the Frenchman will prove to be the best signing of 2008, and this evening he will make his debut for his new club in a friendly match against Cremonese at the Stadio Zini at 18:30.
Flamini is the only of the new recruits to play, meaning there will be no Ronaldinho or Gianluca Zambrotta, although Luca Antonini will start having returned from his loan spell at Empoli. Christian Abbiati will be on the bench.
Some of the other big names to feature include Massimo Oddo, Kakha Kaladze, Pippo Inzaghi, and intriguingly Clarence Seedorf, who will be fielded as an attacking midfielder despite the fact Ronaldinho will probably force him to play in a deeper role once the season starts.
Nigerian youngster Wilfred Osuji will be given a chance to shine, as Milan look to continue their summer preparations for the new campaign.
