Enzo Zidane scores his 1st Real Madrid goal after being debut by his dad Zinedine Zidane

It runs in the family.

Enzo Zidane, the 21-year-old son of Real Madrid bench boss Zinedine, made his senior debut for the club in Wednesday's Copa del Rey rout of Cultural Leonesa, and wasted no time making an impact.

The midfielder, combining with fellow upstart Martin Odegaard down the left side, scored his first Real Madrid goal 18 minutes after coming on as a half-time substitute, slotting a calm finish past the goalkeeper.

Madrid would easily go on to win the match, 6-1, advancing to the last 16 of the tournament with a 13-2 aggregate stroll.

21-year-old Enzo Zidane made the perfect start to his competitive Real Madrid career with a goal within 18 minutes of his Los Blancos debut.

The midfielder, who has been at Real Madrid since 2004, bagged a debut goal ten years after his father, Zinedine Zidane, last played for the club.

The Real Madrid manager brought his son in the 50th minute of the club's second leg Copa del Rey tie against Cultural Leonesa at the Bernabeu.

Enzo Zidane took no time at all make his mark on the Bernabeu fans, playing a one-two with Casemiro before cutting inside a guiding the ball past the Cultural Leonesa goalkeeper.

The spectacular start to his Real Madrid career was all the more special for the fact that Zidane scored with his first ever shot for the club.

Zinedine Zidane, who has been manager of Real Madrid since January 2016, scored in his last game for Real Madrid: a 3-3 draw with Villarreal at the Bernabeu.

"If I take off my coach's suit, I am very happy for my son," Zidane said. "As his coach I am very happy for Odegaard, Alvaro and Ruben too, and for all the players who did great work tonight. Of course when I get home we will talk about it [with Enzo].

"But the team showed a good attitude and intensity tonight, especially considering the 7-1 from the first game. We played a serious game, began strong and achieved what we wanted."

Born in Bordeaux in 1995, Enzo is the eldest of Zinedine Zidane's children and first made an impression as a youth player at Juventus.

Zidane's side soundly beat Cultural Leonesa 6-1 to progress through to the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.

17-year-old Norwegian starlet Martin Odegaard made his first start for the club since he signed in January 2015.

The Real Madrid team posed for their pre-match photo wearing T-shirts paying tribute to the victims of the Colombia plane crash.

Los Blancos wore shirts reading "We are all Chapecoense," after 19 members of the Brazilian club's squad were killed in the crash on Tuesday.

The 13-2 victory on aggregate means Real Madrid are now up to 32 games unbeaten in all competitions.

Real Madrid meet Barcelona on Saturday in the first El Clasico on the season, six points clear at the top of La Liga.
