Titus unable to return to Malaysia to play against Chelsea
Malaysia will not have France-based Titus James for their match against English Premier League giants Chelsea at the Shah Alam Stadium on Tuesday.
National coach B. Sathianathan said Titus had sent him an e-mail informing that he would not be able to turn up because of some complications with the French Immigration Office.
FA of Malaysia (FAM) general secretary Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad said they would get in touch with the Malaysian Embassy in Paris to get a clearer picture of Titus’ problem over there.
The 21-year-old Titus, a former pupil of the La Salle Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur, went to France when he was 12 to eke out a career in professional football in Europe.
He played for the Villenoy FC Under-18 team before graduating into the senior squad last year.
Tickets for the Malaysia-Chelsea match are priced at RM33, RM53, RM83, RM103. The limited VIP tickets are priced at RM303.
A total of 1,000 tickets have also been allocated for school children at a special price of RM23.
