Remember the Sevilla FC team that won the prestigious Europa League last week in Turin, Italy? Well, they will be here in Malaysia next week to play a local side. Doesn't that sound awesome?
The Spanish team, who recently edged out their Benfica 4-2 on penalties to win their third Europa League title in eight years, have officially confirmed their match against Selangor at the Shah Alam Stadium on May 26.
"On behalf of Sevilla, we are excited for this opportunity to play in Malaysia and against a top team such as Selangor,” said Sergi Vieta, Operations Head of Liga de Fútbol Profesional (LFP) World Challenge of the team, who are expected to field a strong side for the match.

Currently on top of the Malaysian Super League, Selangor will be looking to keep their form as the hunt to win another league title continues.
"We are proud and pleased to make this announcement. Sevilla are a respectable team and it is an honour to get an opportunity to host them, especially after they won the 2014 UEFA Europa League," said Selangor’s Deputy President, Dato’ Mokhtar Ahmad.
"It is definitely going to be a tough match for Selangor, but the team will give their best, as this is an additional treat to our loyal fans. We hope this game will help increase the spirit of the team and spur them on to finish on top of the league this season," added Mokhtar.
Tickets are priced at RM20 and will be available from 3pm on Friday (May 23) at the Shah Alam Stadium..
