Dudu makes Greek switch
CSKA Moscow have finally given in to pressure applied to them by both Olympiakos and Dudu Cearense himself and the Brazilian international is moving from Russia to Greece on a lucrative three-year deal.
The Pireas giants, who claimed all three domestic trophies last season, had been keen on bolstering their midfield with Alexandro Silva de Souza, as his real name is, since last summer. A first failed attempt did not discourage them and late on Monday night they finally announced his transfer was completed after the Kubok holders accepted a new, improved bid.
Greeks splash the cash
Although the actual amount was not disclosed, Greek media suggest that CSKA will receive no less than six million euros, while the 25-year-old central midfielder has agreed to a 1.5-million salary for each of the three years in his new contract. Olympiakos said that Dudu Cearense, their sixth signing of this summer, will arrive in Athens on Tuesday afternoon to seal the deal.
Ledesma out?
The former Vitória Bahia, Reysol and Stade Rennais man had expressed his wish not to see out the remainder of his contract with CSKA, who finally reduced their demands from their initial eight-million asking price. His arrival may mean that Cristian Ledesma, reportedly not included into the plans of new boss Ernesto Valverde, could be on his way back to Argentina and in fact former club San Lorenzo.
