Liverpool have completed the signing of Spanish starlet Emmanuel Mendy from Murcia Deportivo, according to the club's official website.
The 18-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Anfield, and will play in the side’s reserve outfit next season.
The full-back is part of an ever increasing Iberian contingent at the club, under Spanish manager Rafa Benitez.
Mendy is primarily a right back who can also play on the left flank, and joins Liverpool on a free transfer. He will train alongside fellow Liverpool new boys Nikola Saric, Zsolt Poloskei, Christopher Buchtmann and Vincent Lucas Weijl in Gary Ablett’s reserve set-up.
