BREAKING: Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) advisor Tan Sri Annuar Musa announces former English Premier League player and Dutch international George Boateng as the new head coach of the team, replacing the sacked Steve Darby.

Kelantan FA have officially appointed George Boateng as their new head coach, while also announcing two new foreign signings for the team. The decision came after Steve Darby was shown the exit door right after their disappointing 0-4 defeat at the hands of Sime Darby FC.

Tan Sri Annuar Musa officially confirmed the appointment via his official Facebook page, and Boateng will be assisted by six other coaches, including the current interim head coach Hashim Mustapha.

The former Hull City skipper has a wealth of Premier League football experience and has also been capped by the Dutch natonal team on four occassions. His last playing stint in Malaysia with T-Team FC will also be beneficial towards his understanding of the local game.

Besides that, the Red Warriors have also announced the signing of new two foreign players in the form of Ghanian striker Prince Tagoe, as well as Iraqi defender Hussein Alaa.

Tagoe in particular, comes with the an impressive CV, having featured for Ghana in the 2010 World Cup as well as for clubs like Hoffenheim and Bursaspor.

As a result, Obinna Nwaneri and Mohammed Ghaddar have both been relinquished of their role with Kelantan.
