The focus of today's rumours is Manchester United and moreover, that big pile of cash they will have lying around once Cristiano Ronaldo joins Real Madrid.

According to reports, some of that €94 million will be spent on either Karim Benzema or Luis Antonio Valencia of Wigan.

For Benzema, United will face competition from AC Milan. The Rossoneri are reported to be close to tying a deal up for Edin Dzeko, but could add another forward.

Gennaro Gattuso won't be joining Chelsea, although Milan's resolve is set to be tested by Napoli's bid for Massimo Ambrosini and Roma's alleged interest in Andriy Shevchenko.

Also concerning the Diavoli, Dunga, the Brazil coach, has recommended that Hernanes join the Italian heavyweights from Sao Paolo. The international midfielder seems set to depart his homeland.

Sampdoria are pawning Gennaro Delvecchio off to the highest bidders; four clubs in England are thought to be interested.

Andrea Dossena could be on the verge of a move to Juventus from Liverpool after a so-so first season in England, while David Trezeguet again finds his name linked with a plethora of Italian clubs.

In Spain, Samuel Eto'o's future is again the subject of speculation with Joan Laporta claiming that Barcelona will not break the bank to renew his contract.

Elsewhere, it's been a quiet day at the office for Florentino Perez at the Bernabeu. They've failed to break the world transfer record today and also, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's agent has ruled out a move.

Finally, to Germany; Marko Marin wants to engineer a transfer from Borussia Moenchengladbach to Werder Bremen and Luca Toni, of FC Bayern, has attracted the interest of Fenerbahce.
