Juventus and Roma set to make move for West Ham's Valon Behrami after poor start

West Ham United signed Valon Behrami from Lazio this summer, but the duo of Italian giants are allegedly keen to reel him back to the peninsula next month.

Roma were the first side to be linked with the Swiss international last month, and according to Tuttosport, they have already made progress in the negotiations with the player’s representatives.

But Juventus launched their assault on the 23-year-old last week, as sporting director Alessio Secco flew out to London to meet his Hammers’ counterpart Gianluca Nani.

The Premier League outfit paid 6 million euros to secure Behrami’s services in the summer, and the club directors are reportedly demanding around 8 million euros to complete the transaction, but the Turin-based newspaper believes that Juve are aiming to shave at least another million off the price.

However, it is alleged that the midfielder’s future may be tied to Gianfranco Zola’s. Should the former Parma and Cagliari star leave the Londoners, Behrami might switch allegiances during the January transfer window, otherwise Juve and Roma would have to put away their swords until next summer.
