Egyptian international striker, Mohammed Zidan has finally made his move from German Bundesliga side HSV Hamburg to rivals Dortmund in a player-plus-cash deal that saw Mladen Petric head the other way.
The Westphalian club formally confirmed the player's switch today.
"We are pleased to announce the transfer of Mladen Petric to Hamburg, and we wish Mohamed Zidan the best with Dortmund," a statement on the official HSV website read.
Zidan was reportedly traded to Dortmund in addition to €5.7m after failing to live up to expectations at the Nordbank Arena since last season.
The 26 year-old striker was quick to describe the move as a right one, despite feeling a little sad that he had to leave Hamburg so quickly.
"It's a pity that I had to leave Hamburg so quickly, but I am sure I have made the right decision to join Dortmund," Zidan said in an interview with HSV.de.
Zidan will be linking up with his former boss at Mainz, Jurgen Klopp, in Dortmund.
