Moritz Volz makes loan move to Ipswich

Fulham’s German full-back, Moritz Volz, has completed a loan move to Championship side Ipswich Town.

Fulham‘s former Arsenal defender Moritz Volz has joined Ipswich on loan until the end of the season.

Volz finalised his long-mooted loan move to the Tractor Boys today, and is expected to go straight into manager Jim Magilton’s squad for Town’s League game against Watford this weekend.

Magilton told the club’s official website that Ipswich were bringing top-flight quality to Portman Road in Volz.

“He's a top professional who has spent his career in England playing at Premier League level,” he said.

“He believes he is a Premier League player. I believe that as well so we have got a very good player on our hands.

"He will add some extra quality to the squad and is another step towards taking us where we want to be."

Volz joined Fulham from Arsenal back in January 2004, and has made 144 appearances for the Cottagers.
