Official: Bianchi Joins Torino

Rolando Bianchi has signed for Torino on a five year deal, the club have announced.

The former Manchester City striker never managed to light up the Premier League and he has now moved back to Serie A with the Granata. Reports in Italy suggest Torino paid £4m for him and he has penned a five year contract.

A statement on the club’s official website reads:

“Torino Football Club S.p.A is delighted to announce the purchase of Rolando Bianchi from Manchester City on a permanent basis.

“The striker has signed a five year deal. He will greet fans alongside president Urbano Cairo this evening during the friendly game against Brescia.

“The official unveiling and press conference will take place during the course of next week."

Bianchi scored eight goals for the Citizens last season but he was quickly loaned out to Lazio.

The striker made the headlines last term for famously saying that the food and weather in England didn’t suit his palette.

He will be looking forward to playing alongside former Reggina team mate Nicola Amoruso who joined Torino this summer.
