Pavel Nedved reveals he regrets never playing for Manchester United

Juventus midfielder, Pavel Nedved, is looking forward to the friendly game against Manchester United on Wednesday as the team tries to make up for their Hamburg shambles.

The Bianconeri will clash with the Red Devils as they continue their pre-season preparations.

Nedved has a habit of playing well against Sir Alex Ferguson’s men.

The former Czech Republic international scored against United in 2003 during Juve’s 2-1 defeat in the Champions League group stages.

La Furia Ceca can’t wait to get a run out at Old Trafford and he remembers the watching the 2003 Champions League final from the bench.

“Playing at Old Trafford will be a great emotion, especially for me as I was forced to watch the Champions League final against Milan from the dug out five years ago,” Nedved told the club’s official website.

“It may be my last chance to play in Old Trafford even though I am hoping to play there later during the season.”

Nedved also had a few words on Juve’s recent problems following the 3-0 loss to Hamburg as the team has been hit with a number of injuries in defence.

“Everything had gone so well up until Sunday and then we lost to Hamburg,” said Nedved.

“Also there are the injuries to Molinaro and Knezevic and we didn’t need this as the coach cannot experiment in certain ways during pre-season.”

Juve will be hoping they bounce back from their recent woes against United.
