Gunners' Legend Henry Enters Hall Of Fame

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry won two championships, two FA Cups and four Golden Boots during eight years in London and will now take his place in the National Football Museum Hall of Fame, with the late Bertie Mee joining him...

Thierry Henry is still feeling the love from the English football community, over a year since he left Arsenal in a €24m switch to Barcelona.

Report have emerged regularly suggesting that the French hitman is struggling to adapt to life with the Catalan giants, but his lack of form in Spain hasn't tarnished his reputation as a Highbury legend.

Earlier this month, Henry, who scored 226 times in 380 games for the North London club, was voted as the greatest Gunner of all time by fans via the club's official website.

Now, the 30-year-old is set for the National Football Museum Hall of Fame.

Mee Too

Another club legend will join him in the September 18 induction - albeit posthumously - in the shape of former gaffer Bertie Mee.

Mee guided the capital club to its first European crown - the 1970 Fairs Cup - and bagged the club its first league and cup double the following year.

The Nottinghamshire born Mee made the now unthinkable step up from physiotherapist to Highbury hotseat and his ten-year Arsenal stint was his only managerial appointment. He died in 2001 aged 82.

The club's official website states: "They follow in the footsteps of a number of Arsenal legends - Dennis Bergkamp received the same honour last year while Liam Brady, Tony Adams, Alex James and Ian Wright are also on the roll of honour.

"Mee is the third Arsenal manager to enter the Hall of Fame after Herbert Chapman and Arsene Wenger."

Although the ceremony will be held in London, the National Football Museum is located in Preston.
