In recent weeks Gary Steven Robbat from current Malaysian Super League winner JOHOR Southern Tigers was a training guest at BVB’s U23.

Gary trained with coach David Wagner’s side in February and March and also enjoyed the city of Dortmund during that time.

Of course, Gary did not miss the opportunity to watch a match in BVB’s SIGNAL IDUNA PARK and experience the famous “yellow wall” live during his stay in Germany.

Luckily, he chose the derby against FC Schalke 04 where Dortmund could beat the long-term rival with 3 goals and was the well-deserved winner.

Apart from the free-time activity and sessions with the U23’s on the pitch he also improved his skills in Borussia’s Footbonaut, a state-of-the-art training machine, where he could work on his technique and audiovisual perception. The 22-year old midfielder already spent two periods in Europe for training reasons when he and the Malaysian U22 national team prepared for the Southeast Asian Games in recent years.

Obviously, Gary was delighted about the opportunity to join Borussia Dortmund and benefit from the first class facilities and training concept.

He will return to Malaysia by the end of March..
